Oasis Reunion Tour Documentary to Hit IMAX Theaters Ahead of Disney+ Release

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the reunion tour of Oasis — undoubtedly one of the biggest cultural events of 2025 — is now heading to the big screen.

The documentary, produced by Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision, has been acquired by The Walt Disney Company. The film is set for a limited theatrical release on September 11, 2026, in IMAX theaters and other cinemas before debuting exclusively on Disney+ internationally later this year.

The yet-untitled documentary is written by Steven Knight — creator of Peaky Blinders and current writer of the new James Bond film — and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace.

The feature-length documentary follows Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher during the triumphant Oasis Live ’25 tour, regarded as one of the most anticipated comebacks in rock and roll history. The film has been described as an “uplifting portrait of the biggest music event of 2025,” capturing the emotions of both the band members and their fans around the world. Cameras were granted access to rehearsals, backstage moments, and live performances, while the documentary also features the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in more than 25 years.

Steven Knight said: “I can’t wait for the world to see this film. I believe it captures the spirit and heartbeat of a global cultural moment and does justice to the genius of two extraordinary characters. I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but equally, the story of the fans and the impact the music has had on their lives was deeply important to me.”

The film is produced by Magna Studios in association with Sony Music Vision. An acclaimed technical crew, including Academy Award-winning sound mixer James Mather for Top Gun: Maverick and cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos from Belfast, collaborated on the project.

Eric Schrier, Disney’s President of Global Content Distribution, described the documentary as an intimate story about reconciliation and the power of music, calling it an honor to partner on the film’s release. More details regarding participating theaters are expected to be announced soon.
